Nutramil® Complex Diabetic is a composition of essential nutrients – proteins, carbohydrates, fats, fibre, vitamins, minerals (including minerals in the form of highly absorbable Albion™ amino acid chelates). Suitable for diabetics**. It complements the daily diet. It contains two sources of high-value protein with different absorption kinetics – whey protein concentrate and calcium caseinate. The source of carbohydrates in the product are maltodextrins, which, like protein, exhibit a different rate of absorption. The source of fats are vegetable oils providing long-chain triglycerides (LCT) and essential fatty acids and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT), which are an easily accessible source of energy for people for whom it is important, i.e. malnourished or debilitated. The digestion of medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) does not require lipase or bile, which is important for, among other things, the health of the body. For people with functional pancreatic disorders associated with impaired fat absorption. Gluten-free. Clinically lactose-free*. Available in two flavours: intense chocolate, forest fruit.
People recommended by a doctor may include those with lactose intolerance. In such cases, the significant lactose content of the product could prevent or limit its use, which would be contrary to the doctor’s instructions. Therefore, Nutramil complex Diabetic is *clinically lactose-free, i.e., the amount does not exceed 0.02 g/100 kcal in the total daily diet, which is consistent with the opinion of the EFSA Scientific Panel on Dietetic Foods, Nutrition and Allergies (EFSA Journal 2010;8(9):1777).
**When used as a supplement to a daily diet, it should meet energy needs with protein and fat, contain complex carbohydrates, protein, and fat to achieve a low glycemic index, limit simple sugars, limit animal fats in favor of plant fats, and contain all essential vitamins and minerals, as well as fiber (DIET FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES, University Hospital in Krakow). Additionally, it is recommended to consume unprocessed foods, limit salt intake, and eat small meals, regularly, 4-5 times a day.

Purpose
INTENDED FOR: as dietary treatment of malnourished adults or those at risk of malnutrition related to disease, particularly for patients with diabetes and hyperglycemia, including:
- in conditions with increased protein requirements,
- in patients with diabetes and glucose metabolism disorders,
- in cancer,
- during post-rehabilitation,
- during rehabilitation and convalescence.
Dosage
Dosage: depends on individual energy needs and diet, particularly protein, fiber, and carbohydrate content. As a supplement do a daily diet, 1-3 sachets per day are recommended, unless otherwise recommended by a doctor or dietitian.
Preparation: To prepare a 250 ml ready-to-eat meal, slowly add the contents of one sachet to a container containing 200 ml of boiled water at room temperature, stirring constantly until the powder is completely dissolved. Consume immediately after preparation.
Important information: This product is intended for use under medical supervision. This product is nutritionally incomplete and should not be used as the sole source of nutrition. Children may use this product if recommended by a doctor.
Precautions and contraindications: Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the product’s ingredients. Do not use in patients with galactosemia. Use with caution in patients with renal impairment. This product is not intended for parenteral administration.
